Renovated to a beautiful finish, Castle Gates offers a tranquil stay with the most incredible views of the C13 Rhuddlan Castle . Downstairs we have a cosy living room overlooking the castle, a spacious kitchen and an office area. Upstairs is a double bedroom, with an oak kingsize bed and a beautifully fitted en suite bathroom. The cottage also has a large garden and decked area with its own wood-fired hot tub, perfect for relax under the pergola with the festoon lights whilst taking in the views of the castle directly opposite. Ideal for a romantic break away from reality, Castle Gates is a short walk from the nearby village high street which has a variety of lovely cafes, pubs & shops. A true home away from home.

We had the best 3 nights stay at Amy’s cottage, amazing host kept in touch from beginning to end to check everything was ok. The cottage was perfect for me and my partner, we had the best time chilled and relaxed which is what we wanted. Great location lovely little pub literally around the corner from the cottage. Also an Indian which was literally a 6 min walk. We will would definitely recommend this cottage and will be returning again soon.
My fav feature had to be the wall candle holder 🥰 anything with candles I love this was just perfect!!

The perfect romantic couple of nights away to celebrate our 5 year anniversary! We have been to Rhuddlan many times and always wanted to stay in the cottage and it was better than we imagined. Waking up to the beautiful view of Rhuddlan Castle and soaking in the relaxing wood-fired hot tub in the evening with the view felt so special. Everything we needed in the village was right on our doorstep with shops and restaurants only a quick walk away. Our stay was perfect and we couldn’t thank our host Amy enough for being so helpful and responsive. We will definitely be back again in the future!

Charming cottage in quiet location but an easy walk into town. Close to local pubs and eateries, all within walking distance. An ideal base to explore North Wales and surrounding area. The cottage was clean and tidy, had comfortable furniture and beds and more than enough utensils for two people. It was an advantage to be able to park on the property as visitors to Rhuddlan Castle (literally 50 yds away) and surrounding area tended to park on the road. All in all an excellent place to stay with the added advantage of a wood fired hot tub that takes a couple of hours to get to temp and two minutes to relax once you are in!
Thank you Amy for everything, including the bubbles on arrival, we look forward to a repeat visit.
